The Humane Society of Lake County

Currently, we have two female puppies, seven weeks old.  We are a hound mix.  Obviously, we LOVE to play and play and we will keep you entertained, as well as give you plenty of exercise keeping up with us.  Please call the Shelter or come to see us.  The staff will be happy to tell you about us.

My name is Sport, and I am a Walker Hound mix.  I am most sweet and loving, and I am a well-mannered gentleman.  I thoroughly enjoy my comfy bed with all my blankets.  Going for walks and playing in the yard are two of my favorite pastimes.  My stuffed squeaky toys are like my babies; I take them with me everywhere.  I invite you to come out to the Shelter so we can meet and become acquainted.  Just maybe yours could become the “forever home” I’ve been dreaming of.

Hi.  My name is Bentley, and I am a high-energy, medium-sized mixed breed.  I do, however, need to be your only pet.  My most fond activity is to curl up in your lap and fall asleep while you rub my belly.  I enjoy going for walks and just being with you, so please come to the Shelter to visit me.  We can walk, play, and get acquainted with one another.  It will be truly marvelous when you choose me to be a “forever member” of your family.

My name is Lucas, and I am a large, mixed breed dog.  I am a very sweet boy with a great deal of exuberance, so I would make a GREAT yard dog.  I like to run and play with my toys out in the yard.  I also enjoy playing tug-of-war.  My favorite thing, however, is getting belly rubs.  Please come visit me at the Shelter so we can become acquainted, and just maybe your household will become my forever home.  Please know, however, that I’m not good with children.

Jango is a large Mountain Feist.  He is a mature dog, with the calm, loving qualities developed over time.  He very much enjoys his walks and being with people; however, he should be the only pet in the house, and there should be no young children.

Hello.  My name is Maggie.  I am a one-year-old medium-sized mixed breed.  I am an extremely sweet dog; however, I will need a very special home.  You see, I am very afraid of new people and new surroundings.  I will do best, therefore, in a quiet, adult only environment.  I am wishing and praying for someone with the time and patience I will need.  I have a lot of love to give, so please come and see me at the Shelter.  We can spend some time getting to know one another.  For more information about me and my special needs, please click here.

Max is a very easy-going male Sharpei/Hound mix.  He’s a happy guy, medium-sized, and quite active.  He’ll do better in a home without cats.
