MEMORIAL GARDEN
Our beautiful PAWS TO REMEMBER Memorial Garden was born in March of 2009. The tiny little plants were sown with the expectation that the Garden would enhance the beauty of nature and create a serene spot to quietly remember the joys, the licks, and the loves of your past beloved pets. Along with the National Wildlife Federation’s Stewardship Program (Backyard Habitats) and B.B. Brown Gardens in Clermont, the Humane Society of Lake County started a natural habitat for hundreds of species from birds, bees, and butterflies to squirrels, bunnies, and turtles.
Tucked into the delicate flowers that have all grown up now, are the memory stones from pets that have been lost. For $25 you can purchase a plaque that will be added to PAWS TO REMEMBER and be treasured forever. Also in the garden is the ‘Magic Mailbox to Heaven’ where, when a letter is placed into the mailbox to your past pet, you will get a letter back from your pet in Heaven letting you know your pet is safe, happy, and will always be close to your heart.
We can always use donations for the garden such as bird seed, fertilizer, and anything else that may go well in the garden. Please come visit our PAWS TO REMEMBER; take and leave some memories with you.
