The Spay and Neuter Program

The Humane Society believes that encouraging spaying and neutering of pets is one of our most important obligations.  Millions of unwanted puppies and kittens die each year in the United States from starvation, disease, neglect, or intentional automobile accidents.  There are many excuses for not taking steps to prevent pets from breeding.  Unfortunately, millions of puppies and kittens are born, and quickly become unloved and unwanted.

In order to encourage spaying and neutering, the Humane Society offers a special low price to low-income pet owners.  The Humane Society will provide a certificate to spay or neuter your pet at a reduced rate.  The fees are as follows:

Female Dog 1-40 lbs. $81.50;  41-60 lbs. $94.00;  61-80 lbs. $106.50;  81 lbs. & over – Dr. quote

Male Dog 1-40 lbs. $62.50;  41-80 lbs. $72.50;  81 lbs. & over – Dr. quote

Female Cat $56.25

Male Cat $33.75

The certificate is honored by many local veterinarians.
